How do caps protect your equipment?
Work closely withmanufacturers and users of switches, circuit breakers and potentiometers allows us to be responsive and innovative for over 70 years.
We offer a complete range of gaskets and caps for panels in addition to waterproof screws. These protections are suitable for both manual and automatic operation of the switch.
Lever switch sleeves are molded from a hard or malleable silicone rubber with high tear resistance
(other materials available for specific environments) bonded to an integrated mounting nut. The cap encloses the protruding switch base and forms a waterproof and dustproof seal on the front panel surface.
Why use protection?
Unsealed switches can be damaged or shorted by water, lubricants, dust, dirt, sand, salt spray, corrosive atmospheres, fungus and other damaging contaminants.
Even a factory-sealed switch is susceptible to ice and dust. Additionally, all switch panel mounting cutouts are susceptible to ingress of contaminants, (including spilled drinks, coffee, etc.). Sealing caps provide comprehensive, reliable, economical and long-term protection.
In the age of recalls and costly field maintenance, installing a cap is the most effective and least expensive way to protect against switch, circuit breaker and potentiometer failure.
Finally, our panel joints are tested and UL certified.
